5 Day Tanzania Safari

Day 1: Arrival Kilimanjaro - Arusha

Arrive at Kilimanjaro airport, where you will be greeted by your Tanzania Specialist private guide. Upon arrival at your first luxury lodge in Arusha, take the rest of the day to relax, restore and enjoy your first taste of Africa. Your private safari guide is an expert on all things Tanzania – from the culture to the national parks to Tanzania’s wonderful wildlife.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater

Get up early on day 2 of your Tanzania safari, and travel from Arusha to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Sit back and enjoy the journey: the road winds over the Great Rift Valley, through the crater forest and ending at your Final destination: the striking Ngorongoro Crater. This collapsed volcano is one of Tanzania’s most visited destinations, and it’s certainly not hard to see why. One of Africa’s Seven Natural Wonders, the crater is home to the highest concentration of wildlife in Africa and is brimming with elephants, lions, buffaloes, hippos and even the rare black rhino. Roam the unique landscape from the safety and comfort of your private safari vehicle, and experience nature at its very finest. In addition to game drives, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area offers a whole host of bucket-list Tanzania activities – from visiting a traditional Maasai village. to seeing the Laetoli Footprint, the oldest known footprints of early humans at approximately 3.6 million years old. Day 3: Tarangire National Park

After an action-packed day at the Ngorongoro Crater, enjoy a delicious fresh breakfast as the sun rises and depart to your next Tanzania destination: the Tarangire National Park for a full day game drive. One of the lesser-visited national parks of atmosphere, expect to see few other travellers on your journey and plenty of private moments to admire majestic herds of elephants roaming amidst the iconic Baobab trees. Home to the highest concentration of wild elephants in the world, the Tarangire offers up unbeatable elephant sightings. Sometimes herds of up to 300 elephants can be seen around the Tarangire River, drinking from the shallows or enjoying a cooling mud bath. Apart from elephants, Tarangire is a paradise for bird lovers. In the area around these swamps you can also see lions, leopards, cheetahs and even tree-climbing pythons. Day 4-5: Tarangire - Airport

After a gorgeous final evening with fantastic food and an unforgettable sunset, today is your last day on your Tanzania safari. Depending on your flight, use your last morning to fit in a final, epic game drive. You will be picked up from your five-star Tarangire safari lodge by your private driver and taken to Kilimanjaro airport in time for your return journey home.
