From Nairobi, the capital, safaris visit the Maasai Mara Reserve, known for its annual wildebeest migrations, and Amboseli National Park, offering views of Tanzania's 5,895m Mt. Kilimanjaro.

Daily Itinerary Day 1
DIANI – TSAVO WEST NATIONAL PARK (270 km, approx. 4-5 hrs)
Meal plan: Lunch, Dinner
Early pick up from your Diani beach area resort.
Cross the Likoni Channel by Ferry to Mombasa where you join the Mombasa -Nairobi road
The early morning drive is on smooth tarmac with refreshment & pit stops
Daily Itinerary Day 2
TSAVO WEST – AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK (100 km.appr 2 hrs)
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
“The early bird catches the worm!”
We start early on our morning game viewing drive with a visit to the Mzima springs.
We watch the African Sunrise as the natural world unfolds amid the freshness and beauty of the morning.
We shall later head to the Mzima Springs to view hippos, crocodiles, exotic fish and a variety of bird species.
The greenery surrounding the Mzima springs is a welcome contrast to the harsh terrain that forms the bulk of Tsavo West.
Later the tour proceeds to the Amboseli national park.
Afternoon game viewing drives at the national park.
Game viewing at the Amboseli shall be a leisurely activity with animals easily seen and Mount Kilimanjaro providing a magnificent background for scenic and wildlife photography.
Clouds may open up and the awesome sight of the snow peaked Mount Kilimanjaro shall leave us mesmerized-weather permitting.
Daily Itinerary Day 3
AMBOSELI – DIANI (515 km – appr. 8 hrs with lunch stop)
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch
…we shall be early again!
The sunrise and emergence of the mount Kilimanjaro peak is always dramatic (weather permitting).
Later depart Amboseli for Diani with a short exit game viewing drive.
There shall be a lunch stop at a restaurant overlooking the Tsavo East.

Suggestions on things to bring
GENERAL SAFARI PACKING
- Bright summer clothes for safari tour (Strong colours can attract unwanted attention from flies found in certain areas of the parks). Laundry is cheap and available, so do not pack much in terms of clothes
- Fuller clothes for evenings at the hotel and lodge, such as long pants and long-sleeved shirts to protect you against mosquitoes after sunset and, if necessary, against the sun
- A jacket/sweater, as it can be cool in the early morning and evening
- Summer Footwear (e.g. sports shoes and cotton socks). Avoid walking on bare feet and or leaving your legs naked at night due to mosquitoes
- Power adapter with 3-4 sockets – this enables a shaver, trimmer, electric toothbrush and any batteries to be charged via a single adapter
- Small flashlight and extra batteries
- Hat that shields against the sun
- Sunscreen, sunglasses and lip balm
- A mosquito/insect repellent for example
- Nail clippers and file
- Personal medicine and toiletries
- Extra batteries for camera, recorder
- Bandanna
